Hi, Although my hotpoint WD865 has performed brilliantly over the past 2 years I now have a problem with the buttons surrounding the display…

These include TEMPTIME DELAYSPINDRYING HEAT etc…
When I press them nothing happens.

The machine does wash because I can use some of the presets but it is stopping me adjust the temp etc.. so I have limited choices.

I know I can get Hotpoint out to look at it as they replaced the display previously but I was wondering thsi tiem if I coudl save myself £90 and swap the faulty part out myself???

Suggestions anyone? (…and thanks in advance!)

    Suggestions?
leave it alone choices are overated one program required non fast 40 and wash everything at it, in the old hoover days it was program E, demonstrating operation to the elderly could not have been simpler,
    E for everything.

Bear in mind that if you wash everything at 40° or less you really need to do a regular maintenance wash.

    Maintenance wash

Also the console panel is around £100 so it would cost you more to DIY.
