Great m/c apart from recent problem that is: Washing cycle runs ok. Then at start of spin cycle, water back flushes into soap drawer & floods down side of m/c. Seems as though m/c is trying to spin too soon & volume of water inside is too great.

No blockages are aparent as waste is fine.

Is there a float/level sensor or similar that could be knackered ❓

Ideas or solutions would be great….please 💡

Utility floor is get very worn through excessive cleaning as a result!!!

It could have a partial blockage in the sump hose under the drum. Power off if you intend to investigate.

    Thanks Jim, you were right.

Investigated over w/e & found Sump hose/filter ball cage completely full of fluff & other crap (Dog blankets no doubt) so ball was not doing it’s thing. Cleaned out & replaced now working fine……….a relief to say the least.

    PROBLEM SORTED! 😛 😀 🙂

Thanks for letting us know the outcome.

The ball was doing its thing, it is there to float upwards on the initial fill to block off the sump and prevent the detergent from being flushed straight into the sump before a wash cycle. The cage is there to prevent all the gunge from getting into the pump but in your case it was overwhelmed, unfortunately the sump chamber incorporates the pressure chamber that controls the fill level pressure switch so the blockages often allow the machine to spin when there is still water in the drum.

    Jim.
