    Morning all,

I have a problem with the above machine, went out to it a few weeks ago as the machine would not start and had an error flashing, turned out to be the heater element going open circuit on the dryer side. Replaced the element and all was working fine, then had a call from the customer to say it had happened again and sure enough the new element had gone, put this down to a dodgy element and replaced again.

Customer has just called to say its happened again! I know its going to be the element again but I can’t believe i have had two bad ones – has anyone seem this before? and is there something that could be causing the element to ‘blow’?

I am back there tomorrow so any help in advance would be gratefully received.

    Many thanks

    Jim

Sounds like an airflow or overheating problem. When you say ‘blown’ I assume you just mean open circuit not down to earth. The overload is inside the element on these.

Make sure the customer is not turning the machine off in the middle of the drying cycle as well. 😉
