Hotpoint WDD960 stuck on 1 min drying

Hi

our washer dryer has become a pain. Whenever it comes to the end of a drying cycle it sticks rotating on 1minute to go. The only way to stop this is to switch off the machine and then open up.

The heater also seems to be cooler than it should be, so could well be connected.

Any ideas what might be causing this and more importantly what might I try?
Somebody else had this issue last year but nobody replied…hopefully I will be more lucky!

The reason for a lack of answers is because there really isn’t a definitive one.

Very poor Indesit electronics are prone to all sorts of faults.

Is the pump filter clear?

An insulation test on both wash heater and dryer heater plus the main motor would be the first thing to do.
