Hotpoint WDD960G – No Hot Water

Hi There

I was wondering if someone can help?

I have a Hotpoint WDD960G, and have recently noticed that my clothes have not been washing quite as well. After some investigation, I realized that the water in the machine is not heating up (I confirmed this by pausing the wash, and checking the temperature of the water inside at different points of a variety of 90 degree cycles) and is freezing cold every time. Other than that the cycle seems to complete as normal, and weirdly there is no error code on the machine.

I have a parts guarantee with Hotpoint, but with a £120 call out charge I’d rather avoid it if possible.

Has anyone had a similar problem, and thinks they know what it might be?
