Hi Guys: Have a customer with 1 of these. Apparently once in a while all the lights flash on the front but machine still works ok. Anyway she went to use the drier on Saturday & after a few minutes it tripped the RCD, she re-set the RCD & the drier carried on working but clothes did’nt dry.
Went there today can’t find any leakage to Earth anywhere just the Drier Element o/c, did’nt see any flashing lights but did notice that when I pressed the pause button the drier tripped the mains.
I re-set the RCD & machine carried on working, pressed pause again & machine went into pause ok.
Any ideas or info? or are we down to the usual Hotpoint pants Electronics?

probably a top pcb error, all lights flashing is usually a comms error between boards, check the idc cable at the top pcb if this looks ok id get a top pcb

Or get the big hammer out 😆 Cheers for the reply mate. I tried putting the machine into different cycles while I was there but each time all I got was the correct lights lighting up.
Looking forward to fitting the dry element & watching something else die on me, Hey Ho nothing new with Hotpoint.
