ParticipantMorning folks,
Can someone kindly point me in the right direction I have a customers Hotpoint WDL756P IC 80858750195 washer dryer that goes through the wash cycle and the dry cycle but at the end the super wash, extra rinse, reduced creases, slow spin, lights are flashing and the spin light and dry light are solid. ???
Best Regards

Moderatorits the solid lights that matter
cant decide if vits fault 6 or 12
both dont seem to fit symptoms
Have gt a manual for WDL540 and fault 6 is not used on that one
fault 6 is door lock problems and fault 12 is board communication
think its more likely to be F12 so I would check the wires and connections between the 2 boards

ParticipantI’m pretty sure it’s F06, therefore a door lock fault – either won’t open or won’t close – check lock, wiring and pcb, though as Dave says, not obviously backed up by the symptoms.

ParticipantHi everyone, just an update on this issue, the appliance works fine on wash it is just on the drying cycle that it throws up this error code, it goes through the heating cycle, occasionally spinning, condenser valve working and drain pump all working, any thoughts anybody.

ParticipantI’d second that – low insulation resistance of dryer element when hot is likely playing havoc with the electronic control and on-board diagnostics

ParticipantHi, I have already done an insulation test on the dryer element hot when it aborts the drying cycle and it checked out fine.

ParticipantDoes it dry the clothes?

ParticipantPartially, but not fully

ParticipantIt might be worth checking the dryer fluff filter – these are very prone to blocking up if its the type I’m thinking of. I have seen a blocked dryer filter cause interruption of the drying cycle on a similar Hotpoint model, with a fault code displayed (though I can’t remember which).

ParticipantHi everyone,
just an update on this issue, yes Stratfordgirl was correct I pulled off the condenser box and the filter in the rear of the tub was partially blocked, why this throws up this error code is beyond me, AND why they put a filter where it cannot be easily accessed as it is always going to block up is also beyond me.
Many Thanks everyone. Neil -
