Great article Ken!!
And I thought I was just a miserable sod going on about the impending disaster – code named WEEE. (WEEE!! went the 13 month old Indesit; out of the hatchback and into the layby). 😆 😆
But joking aside, this blatantly wasteful and misleading situation cannot continue.
About a month or so back the Mail published an article on WEEE and showed evocative pictures of piles of scrap whitegoods. The Mail then invited people to leave comments on their website. Both Dave and Ken posted comments on the site. My post mentioned sealed tubs and overpriced spares (no names were mentioned) but the post never appeared.
My last post in ‘The Rumour Mill’ under the heading ‘WMA tubs’ is a possible variation of the pointless ‘A ratings’ that manufacturers love so much. Maybe such a scheme would be more realistic than ‘A ratings’; it may even change the market and persuade the guilty parties to think again. 😉
