    Big fun – not.

Front off, tub out and spilt, measure shaft at front bearing.

If it’s 35mm, you can buy a BEARING AND SEAL KIT and if needed, a DRUM SUPPORT.

If the shaft is 30mm, you can get a BEARING AND SEAL KIT. However, if the shaft shows the slightest signs of damage, you need to replace it and it isn’t a spare part. You’ll need to buy a TUB REAR HALF and a 35MM DRUM SUPPORT.

Apart from that, it’s out with the sledge hammer and drift.

cheers penguin , although i wouldnt be afraid of the job it sounds a bit long winded and if something goes wrong there is the m/c on the kitchen floor in bits , which of course herself would be thriled with i may splash out the 300 euro for a new model and take the hotpoint out to the shed for a bit of investigation .thanks for the speedy reply as always top notch fella
