Hotpoint WF 860P ultima keeps going into a test cycle every time I try to start a wash cycle. Every part of the test cycle seems to work ok and ends with no error/fault codes. The screen shoes ON as it would do normally. Can anyone help as to why this is happening.

Does it say Test or Demo?
To cancel Demo you hold in the On/Off and Start/Cancel buttons together for several seconds, hopefully that may clear Test as well.
You could also try to unplug from mains for a couple of minutes.
Test programme should only be accessible by using the special hardware key or company laptop so if you can’t clear it then you may have a corrupted eeprom on the main pcb.
