I was offered this machine as it was not economically viable to rectify the faulty motor after fitting a new drum.
Really I should not be accepting this offer but the drum is technically belongs to me.
I am a repair man not a refurbisher hence I do not have the legal documents to allow me to refurbish white goods (T11 exemption, etc).
Could do with your advice….
a) should I remove the drum out of the machine (the rear half and the spider are brand new) and keep it for the next job, the owner will phone the council to remove the rest of the machine?
b) take the whole machine, dismantle for spares and sell it on?
c) sort out the motor at my own expense of £90 and not forgetting I have already spent £50 on the rear half drum and spider for resale?
Is there a market for second hand computer boards?
