Just got back from a job, working in a pub, literally above the pub.
They had two hotpoint WF101, both broke down, one was drum bearing failure (a sealed tub – oh how lovely!), the other was faulty Eeprom controls a right bugger to put it right.
Basically both machines are written off in her books but my quick thinking, the landlady approved the plan, I swapped the parts over and made one full working WF101 rather than two dead machines. The pub staff carried out bits of WF101 to the skip one by one. The boss says it gives them something to do.
I rarely come across cases like this though not unheard of, but job like this makes me as a engineer a job worthwhile. A proper bread n butter job that was! I am pleased to extend the life of WF101.
