Hotpoint WF240 Drum shaking – loud noise

Hi,
I have a Hotpoint WF240, and on the last wash, the machine started making banging noises. Looking at the drum while in action, it looks like the drum is wobbling, and the bang is when the drum hits the top of the machine (it knocks the liquid tray out a little).

It only bangs at the start and end of a ‘big’ spin, not once the spin is at full speed.

Does anyone know what the problem might be / how to fix it (if it can in fact be fixed).

he pins holding the suspension legs in place may have fallen out

or the front/top weight may be loose

Super, thanks for getting back so quick helo_75!

I’ll open it up tomorrow and have a look for the two things it could be.

Getting at it is a minor issue i’ll need to think about… since the machine sits on-top of a work-top and there’s no way of accessing the machine from the top in its current location! Spinach for me tonight then!

also if it has only happened the once it may well be what was actually in it that has caused this, what was in the last wash out of curiosity ?
