ParticipantHey there, I sent my PCB off to be repaired ( though it came back an they said they could not find any fault but changed the heater rely just in case)
Now.. as a numpty that I am, I can’t remember where all the wires go on the PCB. Does anyone know any sort of wire diagram that I could use?
I’ve got most of them sorted, just not sure about 3.. and I dont want to risk damaging (my apparently non-faulty pcb)
Thanks in advance!

Cool dude.
“we’ll try to point you in the right direction” What is the right direction by the way? And people can take legal action against advice on forums?
Hotpoint = no help.
forums = no help
just rang the people who charged £42 to not fix my non faulty pcb for advice, and they can’t help.November 24, 2010 at 12:17 pm #336793Martin

OK, I understand your frustration and I’m sorry we can’t help. From my experience of these Indesit/Hotpoint Modules the connections take the form of connector blocks that only fit in one specific place. The 3 you’re not sure about will likewise only fit in one specific place per connector.
Provided you haven’t unhooked the wires from the wiring loom those 3 connectors will naturally lie close to their intended position on the module anyway. No need to force any into postion either because if you do then likely as not it wasn’t meant to go there.
With the benefit of hindsight you should have taken a photo of the connectors though before removing them. I being ‘in the trade’ always take that precaution as I too don’t have a wiring diagram.:cry:
As to the original fault resulting in you concluding the Module was faulty, I must confess I think if you do successfully connect the module back up again chances are the fault may likely remain. It is a Hotpoint after all said and done, nothing surprises me with that brand.. 😈

Thank you for your reply Martin, sorry for being a tad bit frustrated.. I had just come off the phone to hotpoint at that time. I’m use to fixing motorbikes and wire diagrams are easy to come by.
Yeah, I’d usually take a photograph of such things, but was in a rush when I unplugged the pcb. Thank you for your help though.
you are correct, after reconnecting it all, the fault still remains. (Hot point had advised me it was a heater relay stuck after I told them what lights were flashing)
Just noticed, the washing machine will work if only about 4 items of clothing are inside, but if a full load it starts flashing like a Christmas tree. Is there some sort of pressure/weight switch?
