Hotpoint WF250 1500 spin – Door locked light flashing

Hi all,

Does anybody know what the problem is when the door locked light flashes continually on this model of washing machine (Hotpoint WF250 1500 spin)?

If I select a program (wash program or spin only) and press start, the machine clicks, does nothing for a minute, then the ‘door locked’ light starts flashing continually.

I suspect this is an error code, but I can’t find the diagnosis anywhere.

Not an error code as such, it could be worn motor brushes or loose or broken wiring in the motor plug.

Thanks Iadom – fortunately it was the first option. Replaced the motor brushes yesterday and it works a treat again.
