Hi,
6 months ago I replaced both bearings and spider in my Hotpoint Aquarius WF320P and it has been running fine ever since, apart from, most often that not, a clicking sound coming from the motor which I don’t quite understand as I have checked the brushes and they both have more than an inch of carbon left on them. That aside, just recently straight after returning home from christmas the machine would not turn on, but after pressing the Start/Cancel button it would but when On and at random points in a cycle the machine briefly lights all red lights and then restarts the wash cycle, but not always, sometimes the cycle can complete with no problem. I still sometimes have to press the Start/Cancel button before the On/Off button to turn the machine on, but not always. I did also notice once when a cycle had not long been started that the bottom red Extra Rinse light came on and went out a couple of times but the cycle still completed.
I have replaced all capacitors, all but 1 of the diodes and a few resistors on the main power PCB at the bottom of the machine. I also checked the On/Off and Start/Stop buttons on the front panel PCB for correct operation and continuity with a DVM and they were both fine.
I have also checked the cold water inlet and that’s fine and also the drain outlet for blockage and that’s clear.
I am an Electronics Test Engineer so repairs and replacing of any parts will be no problem. Any help would be most appreciated and thanks in advance.
Mark.
