F01 is correct. Motor triac, could be faulty motor, more likely to be module fault.

Thanks Jim, is the module complete or do you have to add the eeprom, i have never done one before but have heard that this is the case sometimes.

Sadly yes, it does need an eeprom, you will be unlikely to source module and eeprom for not much less than they would pay Hotpoint for the labour only five year parts g/tee, ands thats without your labour on top, just a thought. 😉
Different eeproms depending on wether or not it has screwed or welded drum.

Thanks Jim, I’ll pass it back to the Insurer to get Hotpoint to call, by the way how easy is it to put the eeprom on the module ?
Cheers

It just plugs in, the early ones were soldered into the board.

Generally hotpoint are now asking for product code and also if machines are 3 phase or not and then the colour of the sticker on the motor due to being a 50 or 60 segment motor, not as easy as it was a one time. It normally is cheaper for customer to ring hotpoint and get it fixed for a set fee. Good luck 🙂

If you change the Eeprom do you have to configure the PCB like some Zanussi’s ?

ParticipantNo, eprom comes preprogrammed, unless you buy a blank one of course, in which case only the hotpoint boys can program them

Er! why not try soldering another triac in? just take one off an old module. Most of theses 16A triacs will work OK.
Just a thought
Andy 😀
