Hotpoint wf430 wont complete wash cycle

Hi hope you can help

I have a hotpoint wf430 and it seems to be stuck no matter what cycle I put it on. It continuously keeps going.

I can cancel it and empty it of water the drum turns fine.

If I put it onto spin it does complete, it empty’s then completes

Any ideas?

sounds like a faulty heater

if your any good with a meter, take of rear lower panel (plug out, and test it ( if the wires not burned off!)

Just did a cont test on it and its totaly open.

Guess thats my problem

Got hold of another element, its the same but the connectors are on opposite sides.
Does it matter where the 2 wires go on the element? earth is still in the center

Changing the element got it sorted thank you for your help!
