hotpoint WF440 doesn’t spin at the end of the program

I went to have a look at this one today customer reports that the machine runs the program all the way through but doesn’t spin, however when the fast spin or slow spin program is selected it spins fine.

I thought maybe obstruction in the pump or sump stopping the machine spinning but it was as clean as a whistle. I checked the brushes they looked as good as new.

Also the customer said that at the end of the wash only the door lock / pre-wash/ wash/ rinse & spin lights were illuminated and the final spin light was not.

Any ideas?

The pressure switch used on this machine is liable to stick on full or empty – this can throw up the fault code on the switch LED’s. The vertical LED’s are the fault code. The top one is no. 1: down to no. 5. The fault code should be in the “Known Fault Codes” thread at the top of this forum.

Thanks for that steve, the customer said that none of the vertical leds were illuminated, only the horizontal leds with the exception of final spin???
