    We have a Hotpoint WF530P. Stopped working in such that when you tried to start the machine the lights worked as normal except for the door lock light which didnt light up and the machine wouldnt start. We have changed the door interlock switch but still the machine doesnt start. Now when you press the start button all of the lights light including the door lock light for a few seconds then the door lock light goes out, also during this time the machine sounds like its trying to start also for a couple of seconds but wont. Any ideas ?

    Motor brushes first thing to check, be sure to remove the mains plug first.

    Thank you, changed the brushes, machine working perfectly
