hotpoint wf540 and wf541 ntc fault code.

hello everyone. i’ve now had two calls with the same error code within 24hrs. i’ve been to the first one which was light 3 + 4 flashing (ntc according to fault code book). i plugged in a brand new one and the fault was still showing. i removed original one and took readings which were exactly same as new one 25K. the cancel and on/off button would not respond. i’ve referred first customer to hotpoint assuming module fault.

can anybody tell me if there is something unrelated which could cause an NTC fault code? or am i right to blame module.

I have found that the NTC itself is rarely faulty. Its usally bad connections or the c****y PCB. 😥

Would it not have been worth ordering a board from EMW ?
About £45 + VAT I think.

checked connections for continuity so its probably the board. i’d rather not get involved if it is, cos buy the time i buy in a module and charge for fitting it they’d be better off calling hotpoint. its brownie points for me for being honest, and i’ve plenty on so i don’t need the hassle.
