I went to a Hotpoint WF540 this morning, took 15 hair grips from pump filter.

This is the first one I have seen with the Indesit type pump set up, the pump is front mounted, behind facia on the right with the bog standard Indesit pump & unscrewable filter. The motor is mounted to the left of the drum looking from the front, it does mean that access the main PCB is much better.

I have been having a look on Partfinder and cannot see this set up in the WF540 list? I don’t have the commercial code to hand, perhaps that would shed some light.

if u lookk at the wf321.. thats the new set up, should help with diagram, theyre all coming now with the pumps at the front, which is good news, u dont have to empty a machine full of water on the floor to empty the pump nemore!!!

I think the access to the PCB with the motor shifted to the other side is a huge bonus.

Exactly what I did this morning, in a corner, under a fixed worktop, on a carpet, full of clothes and water I didn’t suss anything until I took the back off even though I wondered why the drain hose came out on the other side. 😆
