Hi – my washing machine has suddenly decided that it’s not going to stop spinning….

Put a load of towels in last night at about 6pm & at 2am it was still spinning (it’s not kept in the kitchen so I wouldn’t have noticed till it was stupidly quiet in the house)

I turned the machine off & then tonight I’ve just tried to put another load in (hoping it was just having a mardy or I’d put an unbalanced load in or something). As soon as I switched it on it went straight to spin. I can’t cancel the program – it just continues spinnning……. I’ve checked the filter (even though I didn’t think it was that as the towels weren’t sodden iyswim) & that seems fine – although I did make 29p out of it (which we have a feeling were there when we bought it as it’s a second-hand machine)

I have a feeling it’s going to be something like the pcb (is that right? 😳 ) but is there any chance it’s something simpler?

You could try unplugging the machine for five minutes, sadly it does sound like a (very expensive) main PCB fault. 😥
