ParticipantHello. I’m new here. My washing machine registered a fault a few weeks ago. On/off light and wash enhance buttons flashing. would not go to spin. Pump continued to run when lights flashing. Replaced main board. Then would not stop spinning. Slowed down after main spin but instead of stopping went into new spin. did this 4 times then cut out and lights flashed again. Then would not spin at all after main wash. Pump kept running til unplugged. When put on pump out only did same thing after about 10 seconds. worked ok on quick wash program though from start to finish. yesterday quick wash also regisered same fault and would not spin. Today i replaced pump and heater. Then back to square one. Would not stop spinning so I switched off after 4th spin. seems to be ok on one program only. (fast wash) although this also flashed before i replaced pump and heater. no blockages and i’ve cleaned all contacts. can anyone please help as I’m stumped!!

Was the replacement pcb a new one? Was it configured correctly? Sounds as though you have a duff pcb.

No it wasnt. it was a reconditioned one which i tried, removed and sent back because it made no difference and exactly the same fault occurred with the reconditioned one. I thought it would be too much of a cooincidence for 2 PCB’s to result in exactly the same fault. I put the old one back in. I also wondered about this though. I got it from EMW electronics who were very helpful and ensured correct details via phone for programming before they sent it. Could it be anything else?

Its an Indesit, anything is possible. :rolls:
The enhance light flashing is F08, better known as the dreaded 8 flash fault.
I don’t even waste my time trying to fix any machines with F08 faults, hit & miss, out of pocket 75{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of the time, I just tell people to buy a decent quality machine instead.
It could be the pcb, bad wiring connections, the pressure switch etc.

OK thanks. I’ve probably wasted enough money on this then. Appreciate your responses.
