    Problem with a Hotpoint wf 740 .When you set the program the door lock light does not light up although it will lock the door . But thats all it will do .Tried a new interlock same result .It has a digital display but does not show any error . Any ideas ?? .

    Check the motor wiring, give each cable a good pull at the motor connector. If its a brush motor check carbons.

    Hi timdowning thank you for the quick reply you were spot on the brushes needed replacing the machine is now working fine ,I should of checked the
    brushes but i have never known a wf to last long enough to wear the brushes out .Thanks again .
