    Hello,
Can anyone help on this one?
I have just been out to a Hotpoint WF740G SN-605110467 and the digital display, and all lights (on/off, start/cancel and all options) are flashing madly. I have checked the cable from the module to the display board and it and its connections all seem fine.
Machine won’t start up at all either.
Am I looking at a module replacement?
Thanks in advance for any help.

Thanks for getting back so quickly.
    Thought it would be.
Are the boards pre-configured for this model or should I just tell her to get it repaired under the five year parts guarantee?

Possibly best thing to do. They now need a board, a single use smart card and a smart card reader to programme the board. :rolls:

    Indeed. 🙁

In fact, based on my most recent experiences with this brand of machine it’s never worth messing with any fault relating to the main board. The later models have 2 or 3 differing eeproms, motors and pcb’s….it’s a minefield for an indie to dare tread.

I’ve been fixing Hotpoint machines now for almost 40 years but these days I dread the very mention of the name lest I possibly cannot provide a full and realistic repair for my most precious commodity – my customer. 🙁

Those bl**dy Italians have won after all……….non ho mai amato il suo paese comunque 😉
