    Hi all,
    Anyone know if the thermister fitted to this machine is available seperatly.
    If not is it rated the same as the one fitted to the old hotpoint range WM’s and WMA’s etc.

    isnt the wma thermister amp-tag and th wf idc?

    im sure theyre not interchangeable

    unusual for a thermister to go, its usually the heater relay sticking!!

    I just need to know if they are interchangable electricly. Yes the terminals are different as you say but snipping off the plug and a couple of spade ends would deal with that.
    Relay is ok its the thermister terminal that is broken.
    Their resistances are similar which leads me to believe I can do a swap.

    Hi Tony, If the resitances are about the same I would see no reason why the spade type shouldn’t do the job. And probably more reliable with decent spade connectors rather than the flimsy idc plugs.
