Thank you for the reply, this is as I thought, but as I was always told, never assume and always ask the question, particularly when it is not your area of expertise.

Not unknown for new elements to fail in short order, especially non gen ones. 😉

FURTHER UPDATE.
I tested the (Two week old) heating element for continuity and it failed.
After contacting the supplier of the aforementioned element a replacement was quickly dispatched.
I fitted it and after Two days of normal operation we’re back to the dreaded 0.01 minute never ending wash cycle.
Both the elements have not been genuine Hotpoint parts, they’re branded “Kineta” but are rated at 1800W as the original.
I find it difficult to believe that Two brand new elements even given that they are not OEM parts, would both fail, One after Two weeks and the other after Two days without there being something other going on that could possibly be causing them to fail.
At the same time I find it equally difficult to imagine what exactly could be going on that would cause both elements to fail so quickly.
Thats where you guys come in.
Could you guys tell me, have you experienced anything like this before and if so what was the problem,if not, could you suggest whatever it is that might be causing the problem.
Thank you and regards, The Soulman.

What you reckon Jim, power module heater relay stuck causing these elements to fail, got to be innit?

Anything is possible with the dubious quality of Indest modules but a sticking heater relay should throw up an error code, as should a pressure switch fault. :con:
Should show F07 or F08.
We both know that either of us would not risk a non gen element in one of these. 😉

Thank you.
So this faulty / sticking heater relay could be causing the element to fail, is this correct ?
Please don’t think I’m doubting you lads but from what I have read earlier in the thread, a fault on the main controller PCB is very unlikely to cause / have this effect on the heater element.
Again, as mentioned earlier in the thread, the F-07 fault code is shown but not every time the washer is run.
If this is indeed the problem, which is the cheapest way to remedy it, replace the main PCB or send away for repair, whichever it is, would you lads be able to suggest where to source a replacement or where to send for repair.
Thank you and regards, The Soulman.
