ParticipantWhen attempting a wash, I can hear the door lock click, but the door lock symbol no longer appears, so nothing further happens. I have tried and replaced almost everything. Any ideas?
This fault occurred after the belt popped off due to the drum/bearing nut becoming loose, although this has now been fixed. Thank you to anyone as I’m at my wits end! I have replaced both PCBs and most other parts but still the same fault. I can’t give up now as l have spent so much on new parts. Silly me!May 24, 2016 at 8:25 pm #437850iadom

‘Most other parts’ what other parts?
Was the main power pcb new, was it correctly programmed for your machine?
If you have done as much as you say then it would be almost impossible for anyone to guess exactly where the problem now lies. 🙁

Sorry if the information is not sufficient, please let me know what further details you require. The main PCB was replaced from an identical machine that was working. It has the exact same model number and has been made by the same manufacturer, so l am assuming it is programmed accordingly. I have also changed every other electrical component apart from the motor, which l am about to do, in case it is the brushes, which l heard can create this type of fault. Thank you for reading and taking the time to reply.

I have also replaced the door interlock, drain pump, drain switch, water pump and all three water valves.

Blimey talk about throwing parts at it. Could be just worn motor brushes which would take ten minutes

Especially as it has a 3 phase motor, good luck with changing the brushes.
The fact the ‘used’ pcb came from the same model does not mean it will work, there are at least two or three different ones used on the same model which are not interchangeable. Using serial number and commercial code is the only way to be certain.
Also different motors with different wiring connections used as well. The motor wiring connections on these machines are very weak and are an area known to cause problems.
In truth I think you where a little kind to yourself, “Silly me” is not the term I would have used. 😉
I know they say that when you are in a hole stop digging but you have long since gone past that point. 🙁

Thank you. Both PCBs are labeled Jabil Circuit 215007965.03
The model number for both machines is WF860P. The faulty w/machine has (serial?) no. 41146435 and the replacement PCB came from (serial?) no. 45114749
As I couldn’t locate the brushes l have now replaced the motor. However, the issue still remains. I’m in a dilemma as has almost had all its internal organs replaced but still the same issue. Should l cut my losses and look for a replacement machine?May 25, 2016 at 6:49 pm #437857Martin

Please don’t give up now, I’m sure together we can resolve your problem. Door lock light doesn’t come on you say. I’m thinking a wiring connection problem, the wiring harness connections, the connector blocks? Can you get another wiring harness? You haven’t mention the heater, they cause no end of erroneous errors if they leak current to earth.
😀

Thank you. How extensively can l check the heater? What checks do you suggest? I will go over the wiring again.
