Machine only starts if you shake the door. It is the type with push button door opening. I have changed the catch plate on the door, the interlock, cable and motor pecker assembly but it’s still the same. I’ve not yet tried changing the spring that goes to the button mechanism as I don’t think I have one to hand. I’ve had bother with these peckers and interlocks ever since they were introduced. Does anyone know any tricks for getting them to work reliably? 😕

They can be very frustrating, one trick I use is to tighten the spring on the interlock mechanism that pulls the microswitch against the operating plate, the spring that sits at a slight angle looking at the interlock from the front. Every now and again you do get one that is an absolute pain to get working. Sometimes even changed the door seal to a slightly thinner one if available.

A spray with WD40 or similar on the interlock will work wonders.
