I have a WM52 that trips the household RCD. It usually happens after the machine has filled at the beginning of the cycle. After a while i can open the door remove the washload and drain the water with a jug. By moving the programmer to the end the machine spins and drains ok with no load. I have checked the brushes and found one spade connector on the brush to be burnt and charred. Could this be the problem or is it more likely to be the heating element?

The dodgy brush connection needs sorting but I reckon the heater is your trouble. A new one is here for your convenience. 🙂

    Thanks I’ll change brushes tonight.

Is getting to the element much of a job?

A 15 minute job for an expert including testing the state of the element to ensure that is the fault of course?

Click on the link below for one such expert. 😉
