My WM52 wouldn’t release the door at the end of a wash cycle so an “expert” DIYer we know offered to help. Turns out he forced the door open and now it won’t turn on at all. I managed to get to the interlock and tried o check by connecting 2 wires. This woke the machine up so I thought the problem must be a faulty Interlock which I replaced. However the machine still doesn’t switch on even with the new switch. Could something else have broken / snapped when it was forced open? There don’t seem to be any visible signs around the door catch.
Check the door interlock is correctly located, if you had to force the screw back in, it’s probably not seated correctly… Or could be the catch on the inside of the door that locates Inside the interlock has been damaged..
