My hotpoint WM52 has started to have an intermittent knock whilst on its last spin , its not always there , and only does it with wet washing .
I have just bought a suspension kit which I’ve fitted that I purchased from whitegoods , so i don’t think its that unless something is faulty .
I also fitted a new spider and bearing last year as well .
    Please can you advise .

Unclip the front plate and look at the seam that runs along the inner drum. It can become miss-shapen and catch the outer tub when the drum is loaded. Take the drum out and hammer it flat if it looks bowed at all.

Also check the bolts to both the small upper and very large lower concrete balance weights for tightness.

You can also get a knock if the rear bearing is slightly loose inside the housing.

Checked drum , all is fine there , but there was a bit of play in the nuts that hold the weights and quite a bit on the one that holds the bearing .
The Mrs did her washing , and happy day’s , no more noise .
    A Big thank you guy’s , yet again . 😀
