    Machine has been working fine up till today when programmes C & D failed to start the machine filling with water. These are the 2 hottest wash programmes. All the other programmes work fine.
    Bearing in mind the cost of a new timer, anybody any ideas as to whether it might be something other than the timer that might have failed.
    I haven’t had time yet to open up the machine to have a look inside.
    Thanks in anticipation
    Michael
    PS Last year I replaced the drum housing, bearings, and suspension legs after which machine was no trouble.

    Far more likely to be a faulty hot water valve, very cheap fix.

    Thank you Iadom for your timely response. I now feel an absolute pratt for not thinking of that in the first place!!
    It was indeed the hot water valve, working but restricted flow for some reason. Checked filter and it looked ok, tapped the body a couple of times, put it back and it worked although not much of a flow. (enough to keep ‘herself’ happy though) 😆
    Ordering a new one now just to be on the safe side.

    Addlestone eh, spent some happy (drunken ) hours in Addlestone many years ago. 😀

    The timers in these are generally very reliable, usually only fail due to other component failure such as door interlock or motor. And even then can often be repaired with a trusty soldering iron. 8)

    Thank you again Iadom for your comments. My response a bit of a long time but valve replaced and machine all now ok. Before I had a chance to thank you was unfortunately in the care of local Coronary Care Unit but now happy to say just been released and hopefully 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}
