    My Hotpoint First edition 1200 WM53 door won’t lock, so it won’t turn on! Advice please.

    Its highly possible the lock itself needs replacing.. sold loads of these locks..and fitted many also.
    Quite a cheap part to replace.

    Hi: This is quite a common problem with these machines, the Interlock is available from spares@ at a very reasonable price, it’s listed as part number: 1602390. 8)

    also check your pecker for wear first too. wiggle the door first to see if the lock actuates at all.
