Checked motor etc. fitted replacement salvaged timer and it works ok. Also armature failure. Steve. October 17, 2006 at 7:45 pm #192470 johnnyjParticipant Re: Hotpoint WM54 timer blown The control units that have a fuse usualy had a FHP motor, it would only be laminated brushes if a new unit had been fitted to an older machine and the WM54 is a later machine.
