Called out for black spots on washing. Replaced spider, bearings and door boot. Ten months light use later, M/C is back to same marks. Bearings feel good. Washed a white sheet on a boil wash and came out fine. Any one got any ideas?
Mike.
A possible pointer there. I have seen drum supports fail in a very short space of time in the very soft water we have in these parts if the customer uses cheap liquids and warm washes. No matter how you try to educate people, some of them ( women) will take absolutely no notice and carry on as before.
Thanks for the reply Jim.
I do not remember what the original spider was like. The owner never does boil washes and the new spider feels OK.
Regards,
Mike.
Spider still has to be number one suspect for black marks on clothes, I have had ones that feel rock solid when you pull the drum but have a crack in them on further inspection.
