wm61p has lost all power, the owner says when she switched it on she saw a flash and everything stopped. on inspection i discovered a blown track on the timer, this was from the live to the door interlock.have solder repaired this track now and continuity restored, but still no power.
also discovered that the heater element has lost continuity.
is this linked? do i need to replace the door interlock and obviously the element, and is the timer ok.
    the solder repair was straight-forward.
    Any advice welcome.
P.S. power IS coming to the timer

In view of your previous posts have you been asked or considered applying for trade access?

The door interlock will need replacing, in fact your lucky it didn’t blow the timer again if you tried to switch it on without doing so.

have not tried it since the solder repair on the blown track. but have a new interlock and element on order. found it strange that the element/interlock/blown track all seem to happen at once. should i proceed to replace both and try it then. Thanks

P.S. can i email re the trade access?

Possibly just a coincidence, the heater may have been faulty for some time. It is not uncommon for users to have no idea the heater is faulty unless they are washing really dirty clothes. If the heater is O/C then after 15 to 20 minutes the timer will advance past the heat stage and complete the cycle.

As regards trade access you can find all the information HERE
