Hotpoint WM62 clicking motor / not spinning

Anyone help please? My Hotpoint WM62 has developed a fault – whatever cycle i try to start it on, it fills with water then the motor just clicks away but the drum does not start spinning. The dial eventually moves on round but still no spinning at all. If i manually turn the dial to the stop position, the machine drains out ok.

I was advised to clean the filter, but i don’t know where it is or what it looks like despite an hour on Google :/

Its probably just that the motor brushes have worn out and need replacing. 😉

Click on the link below for a local approved engineer to sort it for you. 🙂

Might have a go myself if it’s fairly straightforward – I put a new door on it a couple of months ago? Back to Google for an ‘idiot’s guide to motor brushes’ 😀
