Hotpoint WM63 Motor Change

Need to fit a new motor to this machine. It has a 7 pin AC Motor Type 9041158/10. From what i can gather looking on Connect/Masterpart the replacement for this is an FHP motor with a plug connector kit. Is this correct?

Yes it is……but if it’s a GEC or Brook Crompton type motor why not use a Qualtex ARM20 armature and C00197976 brushes and rebuild the original? The only problem will be if the field coil is shorting or down to earth. If the field TOC is O/C, then TOC17 also from Qualtex will fit.

It’s the armeture that is down to earth so like you say Steve I could just replace that.

if you fit the FHP motor you’ll need 1604976 fix kit
