hotpoint wm64 spin problem

Hi,

The hotpoint wm64 washing machione has developed a fault; it won’t spin.

Is this a common probelm and is it easy (cheap) to fix?

Is it a diy job or does it require a call-out? I was hoping it might be an easy job of changing a belt or reconnecting the old one that had fallen off.

It may be motor brushes, a fairly common, normal wear & tear fault.

There can also be several other causes such as loose/broken wiring, armature or control unit faults.

The degree of difficulty depends on your expertise and we have no knowledge or proof of that.
