Hotpoint WM74 E15 but no blockage

Hi gents
have a WM74 shows E15 this machine will not take hot water does the wash speed at first then fills with cold washing cycle it will not do any spin speed when spin only selected but does empty 2 cards front &back is 1 or both faulty any ideas on wot it could be

E15 can be caused by the heater. The heater can be damaged by a broken spider assy or worn bearings.

Megger the heater.

Would the heater cause the machine not to fill hot or to not spin

Not sure about the hot fill but it will abort to E15 before it gets to full spin speed with a duff heater that is down to earth.

Tim is correct, its a well documented fault.
