This machine was tripping RCD due to broken spider and shorted heater. Replaced both and now m/c is still not heating and displaying E14 (heater o/c). There is no power to heater so im thinking the power module has blown (though no visual signs). EMW dont do this board, im waiting for reply from QER and new its £62+. Could it just be the heater relay on the board that i could replace, cheaply maybe, or am i just clutching at straws? Any help please.

    Thanks

I use a 12v doorbell battery (x2 for 24v) combined with a low volts test lamp to test relays on the bench. Sometimes fiddly getting the croc clips to grip onto solder joints though. Open up an old one to learn which pin’s which or look on RS for spec sheets.
