hi all stuck on two washers a hotpoint and indisit put indisit on next thread

hotpoint wm76s digital type has display board and power board at back of front facia
    board 546655/ 904116208
customer complains at end of cycle on display registers fault code(dont know) and also message check outlet/drain.

so i check for blockage in sump and removed the usual crap and also changed pump, this model of hotpoint you cannot test the pumping action of machine as will only let you select program from start and not advance as per manual timer, i know on the similar model of w/d you can set it to dry and test the discharge through this but on the w/m i have not found a way only to plug pump straight into mains which i have and it pumps water out fine.but havent seem machine pump out on its own accord yet as it would be a long wait to pumping stage.

also have check pressure pipe and blew into pressure switch, the machine washes ok so motor circuit intact also check brushes and all wiring.

have asked emw and they dont test/repair these boards any ideas?

    Simon,

You can set it just to rinse and spin though under ‘Special Features’ (I think its called?) Run that and see for yourself what happens?

On the circuit board though, I recommend you take the fascia panel off and carefully remove the Programme Module completely. Then closely inspect the PCB side of the board especially around the Eprom solderings. They are very very close together and can track if they get damp or corroded. Sometimes if there is a hole in the Door Boot at the top, water can splash onto the terminals during spin (just when the error comes up at the end of the cycle 😉 😉 )

    Worth a closer look 🙂

    Good luck!
