Hard to say TBH. Do you know exactly which wires you had got the wrong way round?

May have damaged the pcb or pressure switch may be sticking. :con:

I switched the red wires on X2 that I had connected to the pressure switch to the thermistor where they should be, I made sure that the wires to the program selector and right hand side of the pressure switch were correct – one (red/green) goes down to the heater element as it should now with the other (violet/green) to the heater relay. I presume that the pressure switch and heater relay form a circuit in series, is this right?

The pressure switch hose is clear and the machine fills correctly, so I’m not sure where to look next.

Might be worth trying the other pcb.

I’ve tried that after my last post and after reprogramming it from a WMA 13 to a WMA 11. Same fault, a few turns back and forth but no spin. The bizarre thing is that with the ‘wrong’ wiring yesterday, the machine went into spin on Programme P no problem. Both boards show no apparent damage.

Possible pressure switch damage, give it a few hard taps, blowing up the switch is not enough to test this type of switch.

Any damage to the processor etc will not be visible.

If the processor was damaged, would it just stop the fast spin and yet let everything else work normally? Even the door interlock works as it should now. Looking at the board, is it possible that the Motor Speed Triac or Half Field Triac have been damaged, as I would have thought that these were more likely candidates?

If the motor triacs had been damaged the motor would either not run at all or run out of control at full speed during wash.
It’s impossible to guess just what damage incorrectly wiring the pcb can do, you rarely get away Scott free. 😥

Will it spin if you remove the pcb to pressure switch plug?

If I put that plug in properly, it works… I think I had it in upside down :boops:

Was that empty drum or did you have something in it?
Try it empty if you haven’t done so already…

The bizarre thing is that the plug for the black wires is keyed for the pressure switch, yet it can fit in that position in the pressure switch either way up! 😯 :clown:

Why can’t they make these plugs in such a way that they truly only fit one way? :lesson:

I suppose it’s because they don’t want Joe Public messing with the guts of their products and that only the experts should repair them.

I washed two dog beds as a test wash last night and 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} success!!
