hi can anyone tell me how to run a diagnostics check on a hotpoint wma 76 please or help diagnose a problem i have with it?

i set it off last night with a few items in it and it set off as normal, about 5-6 minutes into the wash i heard it draining out then on the display it just said ON 🙁
i then tried it on a spin as the clothes inside were soaked, the time remaining said 11 mins the pump was going but drum never turned then when the time got to 8 mins knocked off and again showed ON
please help as i’m getting some real earache of the missus 😥
    thanks in advance

Possible main motor fault, brushes a possible but only if it has had excessive use, breaks in wiring harness etc. A quick visual check after you have removed the plug would be the first step.

brushes are ok m8 recently changed them, thought it might be a pcb problem so took the main fascia pcb and the one from the bottom of the machine to qer for testing this afternoon if no fault found i’ll try the motor tomorrow. thanks again

You must give this machine some real welly if you have gone through a set of brushes already. 😯

PS. All these expensive parts, modules & motor are fully covered by Hotpoints five year parts warranty. I know the labout charge is high but you will like as not spend more on the parts before you effect a cure.
