I had a problem getting these bearings so I thought I would broadcast the part No. for others to use, am I teaching my Granny to suck eggs.

john, if you had a problem getting the bearings you will have a greater problem getting the old ones out. ususally i get a complete back half of the drum which comes complete with bearings.

However, if the original has the 30mm bearings and shaft, the drum shaft will not fit the standard 1603409 rear half. Do you know of a part number for a 30mm rear drum half?

HI, Thanks for the comments, have’nt tried for a 300mm rear half yet, do you think hotpoint have changed to 30mm on all models?
I have managed to remove most of my 35mm bearings, takes a lot of hammering though, yes some of them are impossible.

I think you will find that if the shaft needs replacing on a WMA machine with 30mm shaft the replacement parts are as follows.

The new rear tub is Part No.1603409 which comes with bearings fitted for a 35mm shaft and you will also need to upgrade to a 35mm shaft Part No. 1604770.

I think the 30mm shaft was upgraded due to premature failure of the seal originally used.
