I’ve got a WMA 58 that keeps throwing it’s belt for no apparent reason. It’s done it 3 times now. Customer gets a couple of washes out of it each time. Bearings good, pulley tight ( even though it’s a crappy plastic thing), and motor secure. Has anybody got any ideas as to why this keeps happening? Am I missing something?

    Cheers,

    Dave

Are you using a gen belt?

It’s a genuine belt, Jim. I’ve not replaced the belt, just refitted it each time. I was going to replace the belt when I returned tomorrow, but I’m clutching at straws a bit as I can’t see anything wrong with the original belt.

I had the same problem a while back (can`t remember the machine) but a new belt cured the problem.

Deffo needs a new belt. Compare the new and old and you will be surprised how much it has stretched.

OK then, I’ll stick a new belt on and see how it goes.
Thanks for all the replies guys,

Also check that machine is level, use a spirit level!
Have had this problem with it throwing off belts, don’t know why it did it but belt seems to heve been damaged but not broken, was stretched too much on one side.
