Hotpoint WMA spin speeds

Hi all

Just a quick question
Is it possible to change the spin speed of these machines using the configuration settings?

Or does it involve changing the motor.

Why?.

The motors for WMA are not designated by speed as the old 9500/WM series.

No way of altering the speeds by config as far as I know.

It’s just a query a customer had,as he had WM50 & a WM56. 1000 & 1200 spin respectively..he said they seem to have identical boards and motors yet diff spin speeds..just got me thinking!

Those boards are programmed by the front control panel to select the model, in theory of the models are the same and parts are the same eg motor and board ten programming it to the other model would result in higher spin speed

Would have to check a few things on part finder first though.

Think you could only problem i can see is the option buttons will prob’ly be wrong after reconfiguration, as the options vary by model.
