Hotpoint WMA13 door seal replacement

Hi everyone,

Having got the dreaded black marks on my door seal, I have decided a renewal is the best option. Has anyone got any tips/advice on replacing the seal on this washer that they could pass on?

Have a read of this to understand what’s going on and what you can do to prevent it:

We can’t walk you through the fitting procedure blow by blow, but the big tip is to take the front of the machine off – start with the screws round the soap drawer.

Power off, of course.

Thanks very much for that. I have replaced motor brushes and motors before, but not a door seal, and it looked a little fiddly, if not too complicated. It always helps if someone has done it before.
